Take an hour just for yourself and learn how good it feels to go inward and unwind any fascial tension and calm down our overactive "monkey mind." In this course I will take you through a shoulder and hip opening series for those that may be a little more challenged in the flexibility arena due to structural or physical limitations. So if you find yourself in maybe the over 50 arena or perhaps are recuperating from an injury or just starting out in the yoga world please join me! The class is called yummy yin for a reason as Flexibility and Strength should feel good and there are things we can do to accommodate most issues. YIN is all about releasing and surrendering into a posture so our joints and connective tissue get a little vacation - but we ease into so as not to overstimulate that stretch reflex mechanism.
Please bring to class a yoga mat, Bolsters, blankets, a yoga strap or even a rope. If you do not have yoga equipment, not to worry, many things around the house will suffice: (Couch cushions, Pillows, dog leash or rope, even a chair or a sturdy box.)
